Where Does Your Makeup Live?

It's no secret that I love makeup. What may come as a surprise is that I still haven't found the perfect way to store it. Actually, on second thought you might not be shocked about that :)
Between different shaped bottles & containers, brushes & lots of small blush & eyeshadow cases  it can be a challenge to come up with the right approach to keeping it all organized.

Are you a in the bag girl? Or only when you travel?

Do you like to see it all out and displayed?

In all honesty I would like my makeup displayed like this {and for there to be this much of it} :)
but until then I'll be looking for a way to incorporate all of the above options into something that works for me.
Are you a makeup lover like me? Do you have lots of it like me?
Where does it all live?

  1. Haha, I have that exact same mirrored vanity in my room! I keep brushes in a clear vase on top and daily make-up in a clear glass bowl. The rest inside the drawers. Wanted to respond yesterday to your post, but my little man kept me busy. I too have a blogging addiction, I just try and do it when the hubby is gone because he def gets mad too. but I am not quiting. You all are so inspiring! xoxo

  2. my makeup lives in the bathroom in baskets and brushes live in taller "vases". in the space I'm in now it's most ideal as it is easily accessible next to the (better of lesser evils) lighting. makeup remover wipes and cotton balls live in a separate basket. ideally I would love to build a custom vanity with good lighting and different compartments to separate foundations and concealers from eye shadows... summer shades from winter ones etc. I am also going to buy those containers that salons have for polish remover for my eye makeup remover. I hate dipping the bottle.

  3. I do not have a lot of bathroom space, so my makeup lives in a cute pink bag! Works for me! Although, I do need a new makeup bag....looks like I will have to go shopping!!

  4. My lives in a drawer. Lame right?! We had limited bathroom space, but one day when we move I will do everything in my power to get me a walk-in closet and a vanity!! I've always wanted one to display all my lady stuff! makeup, perfume, etc! ;)

  6. I love that Tory Burch case. My makeup lives half in my make up bag, and half in a case in my bathroom. I can never get it all in one place lol. xoxo

  7. Even though our house here in Italy is small, I crammed a vanity in our room! Do I use it, NO! My makeup is on it, in the drawers, in the upstairs bathroom and in a cute bag in the downstairs bathroom! When you have a very active toddler you get ready where ever you can!

    * I could not find an email address for you, I agree with the clothing thing, shopping for boys is hard! Those top shoes on my post were from Crazy 8 and the bottom ones from Gymboree. I have been searching online for shoes all week!
